Movers -- A Collection Of Greasy Soul, Sleaze Funk, Psychedelic Cumbia, Fuzzy Jazz, & More

Here are some rarities some people would chew their right arm off for. Movers is about as fine a sampler we could have asked for from the funky archaeologists at VampiSoul records. This is real dirty soul: some of the production is appalling, raw, untouched, and it’s precisely this which gives the finishing touch to the energy, the raw soul energy.

You’ll hear horn lines lifted straight from James Brown, Lucho Macedo’s version of Tito Puente’s ‘Guayaba’, and The Soul Survivors version of Otis Redding’s ‘Respect’, among other gems.

The fuzziness reaches levels you rarely come across and the whole collection demands massive respect for Vampisoul for yet again pulling some classics out of the vaults. Here are four Spanish and American filthy soul tracks to get you going.
